There is a phrase for this:  Your Milage May Vary.

You have a slow machine to begin with.  NeoOffice.org is very 'heavy' on a 
faster machine
and it is noticeable on both my PowerBook G4/1.5 and MacBookPro 2.0/2.  I'm not 
going to
discuss this further.
