Should OOo include filters for data produced by programs like javelin,

Now is a good time to push this information to individual, especially

If I had my way, OpenOffice would have filters for any and all files
that have been used in offices around the world. Thus if you have old
data, you would be wise to choose OpenOffice. :)

Exactly. I want a filter for PC-Write!!!! ;-)

No need...you can write a printer driver for PC-Write and use it to print-to-file. I did one for TeX many years ago. They're all ASCII files, all ending in .def, so if you create one to output a text format that OO can read, eg HTML, you're done. Have a look at the contents of the PC-Write directory and examine the .def files there, or RTFM :-)
