Strange. When I go to Tools > Options > Language Settings, I have
not Complex Text Layout. In the Enhanced Language Support section, I
have to check (tick) boxes labeled Enable for Asian languages and
Enable for complex text layout. In the Default languages for
Documents section, I have three listings with dropdown lists:
Western, Asian, and CTL. (The CTL dropdown list is grayed out until
this checkbox for "Enable for complex text layout" is checked
[ticked]). I have OOo 2.1 for Linux for USA.
The Arabic lanuages listed are Arabic for Egypt, Lebonon, Saudi
Arabia, and Tunisia. Which of these countries use Hindi for their
numerals? Do any of them use Arabic (Western) for their numerals?
If at least one of them uses Arabic (Western), then there should be a
solution.
When I refer to Arabic (Western) I am referring to the numerals
used in Western languages (English, French, Spanish, etc.).
