I read that security advisory some time ago. I read the Ubuntu forums
daily and it was posted there. I ignored it because I never use WMF
graphics files.

I also found that blog, because at the time I was running Dapper and
wanted to upgrade to 2.1. I have since discovered that 2.1 does not add
a feature I wanted, so I no longer care about 2.1. In fact, I would not
have upgraded from 2.02 to 2.04 except that it was automatic when I
upgraded from Dapper to Edgy. I had no choice but to upgrade to Edgy
because my Dapper became broken.

I have been using Edgy for about a week now and, other than the usual
stuff that an upgrade breaks, I haven't had the slightest problem. The
problem of drag and drop has to be inside OOo, not in Edgy, because
drag and drop continues to work fine in other apps.

Having said the above, one thing I did not mention is that my Edgy is
amd-64, not 32-bit. Sometimes programs and upgrades are not available
in 64-bit as quickly as they are in 32-bit. Therefore, OOo 2.1 is not
going to be available in the repositories for a while yet.

What I find interesting is that no one has responded with a "me too." I
also found no bug reports about this on openoffice.org (although it is
such a huge site that I may not have searched sufficiently completely
to find it). Evidently I am unique. If that is the case, chances are
that it is just a missing module or something.

I think I am going to go to openoffice.org and file a bug report. That
should eventually catch the eye of a developer, who will first try to
figure out if it is a user problem ('cause I'm a dumbass), or a real
bug.

Thanks for the response.
