Hi Becky,

Firstly your comment _"you need to resolve this problem immediately!"_
has no meaning here, because you are not communicating with a company,
such as Microsoft who's operating system software is possibly the cause
of your present predicament.

That said, I can understand your frustration so let's now try to resolve
your issue. You haven't told us which operating system or which version
of OOo (OpenOffice.org) you are using, so I will take a guess at MS
Windows XP and OOo 2.xx. If you are using some thing else post back to
this list with full details. What I am going to suggest is a quick and
dirty solution, not to be recommended, but might just to get you restarted.

Right click on and close the OOo Quickstarter in the system tray.
Open "My Computer/Windows Explorer" (or whatever MS is calling their
file manager today) and navigate to the folder that holds your user
specific OOo (OpenOffice.org) settings. This should be something like:
"C:\Documents and Settings\Becky\Application Data\OpenOffice.org2".
Rename this "OpenOffice.org2" folder, maybe something like "OOo_Old".

Restart your computer and try to open one of your documents. You should
expect to see the same bunch of "first run" options that you completed
before, but you can always rebuild or recover any previous personal
settings.

If this fails to resolve the problem you may need to uninstall and
reinstall the OOo core program files.
