Having struggled with the "idiosyncracies" (with the emphasis on "idio")
of Excel, trying OOo Calc for the first time has been a revelation - so
many of the irritations and downright dangers of Excel seem to be a
thing of the past.
However I'm stuck at quite an elementary stage, and I know the answer
will be simple but I'm not proud. I'm trying formulae for the first time
and I can't get them to run - they just sit in the cell(s) with the "="
sign in front and sulk. I got the same thing in Excel and it was cured
by formatting the cell as General and pressing F2 but I cannot find an
equivalent in Calc. Will someone please put me out of my misery. Thanks.
