After registering, I attempted to cast a vote for issue 1034 and in addition send the following comment :
What is needed is note merely a simple and intuitive option for changing the language the orthography of which is to be checked, but also a an option for modifying the keyboard settings used. In Word, this can be done by means of drop-down menus from tool bar boxes which allow one to choose the language whose spelling is to be checked and the language to which the keyboard input is to be set, respectively. It would be nice to have these simple options in OO.o Writer.... Henri Alas, I failed miserably on both counts ! My vote, which I had naively assumed would be forwarded upon clicking upon the link entitled «Vote for this issue», failed to be registered, and I received a lengthy message which I found myself incapable of understanding telling me why my comment was not accepted, despite my clicking on the «submit» button. Perhaps there are more things in the OO.o repertoire than languages changes in Writer which naive newcomers like myself find themselves unable to intuit.... Henri 2007/2/10, Kirill S. I would like to ask everybody who is interested in easy multilanguage with OO to register at http://www.openoffice.org/servlets/Join and vote for issues http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=1035 http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=1034 so that we do not have to wait for OpenOffice 3 to get this feature. Thank you very much for support. WBR, K.
