OOo (OpenOffice.org) already has a high level of compatibility with
documents produced by Office 2007.

What you are really asking is, when will OOo (OpenOffice.org) be able to
read and write files in the recently invented Microsoft (OOXML) file
format, which Office 2007 offers as the default. As Dan Lewis has
already advised, precious OOo developer resources have been diverted to
work on this (IMNSHO unnecessary) additional feature.

A more important question should be, when will Microsoft Office 2007 be
compatible with the Open Document Format for Office Applications ISO/IEC
26300:2006 standard file format?
