If you are asking whether or not Writer can be downloaded or obtained as a separate stand-alone program, the answer is no. OOo is a single office productivity program, with modules (eg. Writer, Calc, etc.) which call on large common core components. However, there is a "custom install" option which allows you to select the installation of individual modules (eg. Writer only). Taking this option makes almost no saving in terms of disk or memory usage and is not recommended. Hope this helps.
