You will probably find that the method recommended in Calcs FAQ #1 works.

Use File >Open, select the file, THEN select the file type as .csv. 
Tiresome, but it seems the best that can be arranged.  An issue has been
filed relating to .tsv files at least.  It seems to be another developers'
blind spot.
