If you have Gnome then you also have Nautilus. Open Nautilus (file
browser), right click on the xls file, select properties, select Open
With. If OOo Calc isn't there, add it; Add+. If OOo Calc isn't listed in
your programs, then click Custom Command and browser your way to scalc.
