OOo files are zipped XML files. Change the extension to .zip, then
open with winzip (or any other compression program that can handle
that extension).  Look for the file named 'content.xml'... .This will
have the text of the document in it.

Extracting the text won't be easy (since its in XML) and possibly time
consuming, but it will be there.

TIPS:
Don't put your phone number in emails to a public email list.
There are OOo CD distributors that are available (but no useful to
yourself at this time since it sounds like your in a hurry)
