Hi Rudy,
As long as the first download completed normally, you should not have to
download again. Downloading OOo does not install the program. You've got
the software available to install now, just as shopping gets groceries
into the house, but doesn't put dinner on the table. You'll have to find
the file you downloaded. It will be named something like
'OOo_2.1.0_Win32Intel_install_en-US.exe'. If you don't see it on your
desktop, search (open windows explorer and press the 'F3' key, then
enter OOo*.exe in the 'look for' box) for it. When you find it,
double-click the file to run it. It is a self-extracting file that will
create a folder with all the installation files in it and will run the
setup program. Follow the prompts and read each dialogue box carefully.
Once the installation is finished, you should have a start menu item for
OpenOffice.org.

My name is Rudy Elder, and I just recently tried to download your openoffice
version 2.1. I need this program to run one of my documents, but after trying
to download opoenoffice it didn't show up on my computer. I run on a dial-up
connection, so it takes quite a while to download a 93 mb. file. When I went to
bed, it had loaded 88%, and I let it run until morning. The next morning,
however, It was not listed as an installed program. Before I try to download it
again, is there anyway you could send me the program on a cd-rom disk to save
the eight hours of download time? I would really appreciate it.
Thanks, Rudy
