     You are going to have to be more specific concerning what 
happened when you tried to install OpenOffice.org on your computer 
with Vista. Saying that it did not react the same as when you 
installed it on XP does not tell us anything useful. We need a list 
of the things that happened during the install in the order they 
happened.
     The firewall could be part of the problem, and any anti-virus 
program could be another part. Neither of these should be running 
when you are installing OpenOffice.org. Just make sure that you are 
physically disconnected from the Internet before you turn these 
programs off. Then try installing OOo. Also make sure to restart any  
anti-virus and the firewall software before reconnecting to the 
Internet.
