You are going to have to be more specific concerning what
happened when you tried to install OpenOffice.org on your computer
with Vista. Saying that it did not react the same as when you
installed it on XP does not tell us anything useful. We need a list
of the things that happened during the install in the order they
happened.
The firewall could be part of the problem, and any anti-virus
program could be another part. Neither of these should be running
when you are installing OpenOffice.org. Just make sure that you are
physically disconnected from the Internet before you turn these
programs off. Then try installing OOo. Also make sure to restart any
anti-virus and the firewall software before reconnecting to the
Internet.
