I have Open office on my work computer, & the other computers in my office do not. I'm trying to see how I can send a file in Open office & have them open it if they have excel. Hello Randy • You can use File > Save As > chose Excel • You can set this as default (all your spreadsheet files will be saved in Excel *.xls format): Tools > Options > Load/Save > Standard Format (or something like that - I've got a Dutch interface) > Document Type > Spreadsheet -> MS Excel 97/2000/XP • Another option is that you keep your spreadsheets on your hard disk as *.ods, but mail them as *.xls to other users with File > Send > Send as Excel HTH -- Guy using dutch OOo 2.1 RC 2 on a iMac Intel DualCore Tiger and dutch OOo 2.2 RC 1 on a G4 PPC Powerbook Tiger -- please reply only to [email protected] -- Dodoes can't afford to have headaches
