Help on my version 2.0.2 says: - - - - - quote - - - - - Size optimisation for XML format (no pretty printing) When saving the document, OpenOffice.org writes the XML data without indents and extra line breaks. This allows documents to be saved and opened more quickly, and the file size is smaller. - - - end quote - - -
I have the option selected and my saving times bear no comparison with Joe's. Saving should not freeze the system either. The question really belongs on a NeoOffice list or forum.
