When you say a Word document, do you mean one with a .doc extension, or the
new .docx, or what?
When you say OOo "does not open" it, do you mean that Word is used instead
of OOo when you double-click the attachment, or that when you save the
attachment and try to open it from OOo the open fails (with what kind of
error message?), or what? Sorry, but we need a bit more information here to
be able to help.
