Are the OO.o programs and file formats totally incompatible with Microsoft's? Or is there some option or setting that I need to use to make this work?
There is an option in : tools > options > load/save > general which states "warn when not saving in default opendocument format"... If this is unchecked then you will not get the warnings. Since M$ Office are closed source it is unlikely that OOo will be 100% compatible with them. They are getting better and I don't have many problems with them. /paul -- Vista is "dramatically more secure than any other operating system released" Bill Gates Huh ?? Defender doesn't stop spyware (Webroot) ; firewall is only 50% effective (Zdnet) ; UAC can be turned off and is annoying ; SP1 (incl security reasons) due end of 2007... ----- Try Torpark; a small portable, open-source, built on Firefox browser that enables anonymous browsing.
