Hi, all. I've got this 9-page oowriter file that contains two distinct documents: the first one 7 pages long, the second 2 pages long. Would like to have a footer for each of these documents that will re-number pages so that the footer in the first doc will show page numbering from 1 to 7, whereas the footer in the second doc will re-number its pages from 1 to 2. Is this feasible and if so, how? Or must I perforce split up the documents, i.e. create one separate file for each, to achieve the desired page numbering in the footer? Any help will be thankfully appreciated jdh _______________________ kubuntu 6.06 LTS on i586 w/ 512 MB
Hello John Check Page Numbers in the help file (F1) You can use a different style for each part, or simply start the numbering again for the second part. You don't need to split up the document. OpenOffice.org can even be used to write complete books, in which case you would use a Master document, that combines different documents (chapters of whatever).
