An email program that I have been using for quite some time, and that I have not seen mentioned on this list is Courier. Its current version is also free - used to cost ~ $25. I really like the program for the fact that you can edit any message right in the message's own window. The only other program I have ever found that you could do that is Outlook. Also, in the "edit message" mode, if you have received a forwarded message with all the little > signs, you just tell it to "remove >'s, and viola, they are gone. Any way, it is now free because the folks are working on a new version to be available sometime this summer. You do have to register - this will take you through the process as if you are purchasing it, but at the end there is no purchase. They will then send you the key to run it forever. It does not have any kind of calendar program or not as fancy as Outlook, but it is a good email program. It is done by Rose City Software, and they have quite a bit of other software on their site. They are also connected with InfiniSource.com and HelpWithWindows.com (formerly Windows-Help.NET).
