Dear Jeff,
Thank you for your help. Apparently I had accidentally clicked on a
numbering style that does not go beyond 9. I unclicked the wrong style and
now everything is back to normal.

OO has only 10 levels of outline numbers, but many more list numbers - I
don't know how many. Apparently you are using outline numbering.

Hello,
I am writing a document with numbered headings (outline or list numbered,
I can't tell exactly) with Writer (OOo.2.1.0) and my Heading 1 level
headings are numbered from 1 to 9. My problem is that when I want to add
a tenth heading, I get a heading numbered "1" instead of 10. Is it
possible that I may have checked a box that limits the numbers of
headings to 9?
Thanks for your help.
