Select the paragraph and then I think that Format>Paragraph>Text Flow
and then check "Do not split paragraph" is what you need.
If you need this a lot you could create a named "style" that has this
attribute and then just select the style as and when. OpenOffice uses
"styles" a lot; it's worth reading up about them.
