Hello Please consult the installation how-to on http://porting.openoffice.org/mac Mac OS X 10.4.x is called Tiger (10.3.x is Panther). There is a different version of the windowing utility X11 for Tiger (on your installation disk, X11User.pkg). Do not use the Panther version (on the Apple website). Install X11 fromyour instqllqtion disk and then install OpenOffice.org. I suppose you have an Intel Mac, so be sure to download the Intel version (not the PowerPC version).
