For a WindowsXP machine, are there any open source, no cost, programs that can crop a picture that is obtained by doing a "Print Screen"?

Start>All Programs>Accessories>Paint otherwise known as mspaint.exe

Having done the "Print Screen", open Paint and do Edit>Paste. You may want to save the complete image for safety's sake. Then use the selection tool to select the picture area you want. Do Edit>Cut, then File>New and say "no" to the "do you want to save" question. Finally do Edit>Paste to paste the selection into the new image and save the result.

It's all "in the box". I think it was as far back as Windows 3.1
