When I receive e mail with for example a picture or movie with the extention
.pps , I cannot open it.
I receive a message when I try to open it which says: There is no programm to
open this....
Can I change that somewhere in Open Office??
Opening of files using a certain application is a function of the
operating system. I see that your using windows, so below is a snippet
from the FAQ which should assist:
"Go into your file types setting(it should be under either "Tools" or
"Folder Options") from one of the windows in "My Computer". Then
delete the association for .doc, .xls, and any other file types that
you do not want associated with OpenOffice.
When you next click on a file of that type (such as .doc or .xls), it
will ask you what you want to use to open it. Click on word, excel, or
whatever you want to use. You will also be given the option to select
always use this application to open the file type."

Huh ?? Defender doesn't stop spyware (Webroot) ; firewall is only 50%
effective (Zdnet) ; UAC can be turned off and is annoying ; SP1 (incl
security reasons) due end of 2007...
