Hello,

I am using Open Office.org.
It is working fine I only have one question.

When I receive e mail with for example a picture or movie with the extention
.pps , I cannot open it.
I receive a message when I try to open it which says: There is no programm to
open this....

Can I change that somewhere in Open Office??

Thank you very much in advance.

Not in OpenOffice but in Windows. Save one of the .pps files to your desktop. To save the file from Outlook Express, right click on it and choose "Save" and then choose the folder called "Desktop". An icon representing the file will appear on your desktop. Once saved, right click on its desktop icon and select "Open with ..." from the menu that pops up. Choose OpenOffice from the list of available programs. If OpenOffice isn't in that list, use the "Browse" button to find it in the folder where you installed it. The program you want is "soffice.exe" or "simpress.exe". Then check the box labelled "Always use this program ...".

Now when you double click a .pps file it will be opened with OpenOffice.

Please note that this *might not* work if you try double clicking the file from within Outlook Express (OE). I think there is a bug in OE so that it doesn't recognise registered file types. If you find this is the case, just save the file to your desktop and open it from there (I have to do this).
