[users] e-mail spellchecker not working !!!Help

Hello 
Thank you for taking the time to read this and maybe help me .
The spell checker for my msn.com mail is not even showing up or working on the 
writing box to have it checked, can you help me to get this straighting out 
Im am using version 2.1 of openoffice.org and my system runs windows xp with 
verizon/msn dsl
