file>new should display all the modules and file>open should open the
appropriate module for any filetype you select

installed X11 and followed the instructions exactly, and all seemed
to go well, but I'm brand new to Macs so it's possible there was a
download problem. When I open the program, the only option I find
is for Writer--none of the applications seem to be available
anywhere. X11 opens when I open OpenOffice, and OpenOffice seems
to open fine, but looks incomplete. I have no idea where to go from
here, and would be grateful for any help you can provide.
