Ok all here is my question:
If I send out a letter lets say a resume on Writer (same as Word) will other
companies be able to open and read as Word? Right now I have Microsoft
Works Processor and it is unacceptable and does not work. Other places
cannot open. Thanks. I still havenot gotten set up yet but need to know if
I can send my resume on it as Word. Thank you all very much.

Vinny, Word is a Microsoft Office product.
The Open Office equivalent is "Writer".
Access = Base
Powerpoint = Impress
Excel = Calc
Word = Writer
