Hi Tom,
As you can see from the header, I included [email protected] in the to:
field.
When I send an email to [email protected] I do not get any indication
that the mail will not be delivered.

My guess is that you will receive your copy, but that the copy to the list
will not make it.

Attention Mr. Floyd Humpherys: as you can see your e-mail to [email protected] *did*
make it to the list. Otherwise I would not be able to comment on your "guess".
Have you checked in the archive of this list? The reason I ask is that if I use
Outlook Express (OE) to send an e-mail to the list, my message appears in my OE
*inbox* just as if anyone else had sent it. If I use Thunderbird (TB) to send
to the list my message does *not* appear in my TB inbox. The same is true if I
use Gmail's web interface; a message I send to the list does *not* appear in
the Gmail inbox; but if I use TB to read the Gmail account the message appears
OK. This whole thing has me for one really puzzled.
I have found that the only reliable way to check is to search the archive; the
only minor problem with this is the time delay. If a message isn't in the
archive a few hours after sending it, this does *not* necessarily mean it won't
arrive the minute you turn your back.
