Hi,
CD-Rs are a burn once media, so once you have burnt something on to
it you may not change it on the disk. You can open the file, then
save it somewhere on your harddrive eg My Documents and work on the
file there. When you are done you can copy the file on to a new CD.
Once thing you should never do is only have a copy on a floppy disk,
or work from the file from a floppy disk. They are very unreliable.
Hope this helps

Thanks for the tip. I have had so much trouble with my trying to
save my manuscripts, and when I try and burn to save on a CD (I
have Sonic Now) they burned them as "READ ONLY" and I couldn't edit
them! that's pure hell to a writer. Open Office let me edit a
"copy" which I then saved on a floppy. Extra steps, and something
is wrong with either my WORD, my computer or my SONIC NOW. It is
great to be able to write someone who can help. Deloris

Hi,
Try double clicking at the bottom where it says "Page X of X". This
should bring up a document navigator where you can then enter the
page number you wish to go to.
Hope this helps

I am using a version downloaded and paid for because my WORD
software kept making copies of manuscripts as "Read Only" and I
couldn't edit my work. You allow editing a copy but when I have 167
or more pages, how do I go to the page where I left off? e.g.
in a 157 page manuscript, I need to go to page 92 to make a change
or correction. HELP!
