Try highlighting the text in Firefox
Edit > Copy
Then go to Open Office and
Edit > Paste Special > Unformatted Text
This is what the Windows Version uses
so it should be similar in Linux

Could someone please RTFM me with a link? I cannot find the setting
that tells Writer NOT to include text formating when copying/pasting
from Firefox. I'm on Fedora Core 6, Firefox 2.0.0.1 and Open Office
2.0.4 for reference. Thanks in advance.
