I'm sorry, but I can't either make the dictionary and the
spellchecker work. I've been on the pages you mention, but it does'nt
work the way it should do. I've had no time yet to write and
illustrate with screen captures what happens to OOo on a Mac OS X.
4.8, but I'l certainly will.
For my professional use, I simply can't use OOo. Ther must be some
kind of problem between the program, the tutorials, and the users.
