She also commented that she tried a few other applications and did n't come

Ask her why she is using obsolete proograms that are incapable of
opening documents that conform to ISO file format specifications.
and this is the only place I have my resume saved.
You hasve a couple of options:
1: Distribute your resume in plain text. Use the "save as plain text
option". This way, it doesn't matter what program the company uses,
they will be able to read your resume. [Or, more to the point, their
software that scans resumes will be able to read it.]
2: Distribute your resume in Rich Text Format. Use the "save as RTF"
option". Most programs that process documents can read this file format.
3: Distribute your resume in Word format. Use the "save as Word"
option. Some programs that process documents canread this format. Do
not expect your resume to look the same on anybody else's system.
4: Distribute your document in PDF format. Use the "Exportt as PDF"
option. Some programs that process documents can read this format. Your
document will look the same regardless of the platform that they use.
5: Distribute the document in an ISO fileformat. When a company calls
and tells you that they cannot open the document, thank them for their
interest, and tell them that you did not realize that they failed to
adhere to ISO standards. You will only work for a company that adheres
toISOstandards.
