ANyone has any more info > on this vulnerability? Unfortunately most articles just say "StarCalc files", which may leave the impression that all types of files were affected, which isn't true. In fact, the issue is about one specific legacy binary file format. Files in the OpenDocument (.ods) file format are _not_ affected. Bear in mind though that the import filter to be used is determined by a file's content, and not its file name extension. The issue also is not related to macros at all, don't know what gave you that impression. The best protection is simply to install the new 2.2 release that contains the fix.
