Went to the OOo website & found the updated 2.2 download,

to help folks out if they are downloading & installing 2.2 & the
'regulars' are still running 2.1 or/and 2.2(rc3)...
There was an announcement on this mailing list approximately 11
hours ago. As soon as I saw it, I downloaded the new version. The
time on the downloaded file is 8:37 CDT (13:37 UTC). So, the
announcement was made around 13:00 UTC today. (It might have been
made at 12:00 UTC.)

Haven't seen it & just did a refresh and search on 2.2; can you give me
a subject & perhaps msg number?
The announcement was made (reasonably enough) on the [ooo-announce]
list. I don't think it was made on the [users] list.
