In order to ensure their apps run better than the competition, MS loads
in part of the app during boot up and may have hidden API, which provide
better performance than a competitor can obtain with the published API.
Plus that when you have started OOo, you started the equivalent of
Word,Excel,Acces,Powerpoint,+? (Draw)
That's not that bad in 10 seconds :-)
