     If you are using Format > Page, you are right. That is the 
Default page style, and it is all or nothing. However, if you use the 
F11 key to open the Styles and Formating window, you will find you 
have 8 page styles. Included in this group is a Left Page Style and 
Right Page Style. These can be created as mirrors of each other. 
Furthermore, you can set each page style to be followed by the other 
page style: the page styles will alternate. (left, right, left, 
right, ...  or right, left, right, left, ...)
