And just what has this to do with the original post which was: Hello, I have just downloaded and installed Open Office initially to use Writer in place of MS Word but to send documents to Word users. In the process of doing this I need to scan material and insert as OCR for them to edit. My scanner is bundled with Omnipage SE which works well with Word but although I have followed Omnipage instructions to associate Writer, it fails to appear as 'Acquire' in the Writer file menu. Can you offer any help please, I cannot see anything in FAQ.
