Hello The dictionary will only check spelling, it won't give you the meaning of words etc. The best I can think of for the moment is the following: • activate the Hyperlink toolbar (View > Toolbars > Hyperlink • on the left side of this toolbar, there's a window (with droplist) • when you highlight a word in your text, it will appear in this window • on the right side of the toolbar, you can then click on the binoculars to start a search with an internet search machine like Google • you can chose other search machines through Tools > Options > Internet > Search (see Help/F1 to fill in the fields) exemple: for Wikipedia the pre-field would be: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/(I couldn't make it work though...) instead, you can install a macro that will start up wikipedia: see (wikipedia macro) http://software.newsforge.com/software/05/10/11/1949204.shtml and: http://oooconv.free.fr/wikipedia/wikipedia_en.html HTH -- Guy using dutch OOo 2.2 RC 4 on a iMac Intel DualCore Tiger and dutch OOo 2.2 RC 4 on a G4 PPC Powerbook Tiger -- please reply only to [email protected] -- Dodoes can't afford to have headaches
