That version of Kubuntu (6.06) is in what Ubuntu calls 'Long Term Support' meaning that they don't make any changes unless absolutely necessary. I've had to&fro's on the Ubuntu lists regarding the problems with keeping OOo at 2.02, but it tends to fall on deaf ears. Best bet would be for the OP to simply download & install 2.2 directly, or to upgrade to Kunbutu 7.04 (now in beta). As for the Access conversion; I believe that Michael Adams hit the nail on the head. There is no MS Access conversion option (even in 2.2) for linux in the standard OOo version. So he may have to try that or the following: There *is* however one in the Ubuntu 2.2 version that is now distributed with Ubuntu 7.04 (beta) (same distro version that also can open MS Works text documents)... go figure. I've not tried it yet - if I get a chance later I will (I'm packing to go sailing for the weekend). --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
