Why is it that you send these type of replys to queries like this? IMHO it serves no purpose other than perhaps to antagonize new & prospective users of OOo. I would think as a proponent of OOo that you'd instead want to assist and encourage new users to use OOo; *particularly* MS & MS Vista users. I also use & promote linux daily. However I also realise that I am one of the barely visible lines on the OS pie. Each new MS OS/Vista user that successfully installs and actively uses OOo is (and IMHO) a hundred times more important that the odd linux user; reason being is that most linux users already know enough about their particular OS/distro and OOo. Each MS OS/Vista user that is successfully brought online w/OOo is a move in the right direction towards converting those users from MS to OOo and open source sofware. On some occassions I'd like to just respond 'No' - why can't you understand the part on the download page that says "All versions (>98)" means that you can use it on Vista as well, and in fact I think that I did respond one jokingly that it only works on weekends. However, many of these questions are from folks that have just purchased a new "Vista" computer and are now finding out the price of MS Office. Many of those users probably had older MS Office installations that were installed via copies from their work, or are so outdated that they can't install on their new 3xGhz/1+GB computer so they are turning to OOo as an alternative. Let's encourage & help them do this. So, my suggestion would to help and encourage new MS OS/Vista users all that you/we can. Cool the "you're still using Windows" mantra and instead help them come on board. Every new MS OS/Vista OOo user is a feather in OOo's cap... --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
