PowerPoint is Microsoft's slide show creation program.
OpenOffice.org has its own slide show creation program called
Impress. File > New lists the applications by file type. You want to
use the Presentation selection. (Clicking it opens Impress.)
If you are going to be showing your presentation on another
computer using PowerPoint, be sure to save slide show in PowerPoint's
format. File > Save As opens the Save As window. Name the slide show.
In the next row, change the File type dropdown list from OpenDocument
Presentation (.odp) to Microsoft PowerPoint 97/2000/XP (.ppt). Then
click Save.
