Basically, ".odt" and ".sxw" files are zip files, so detailed information is compressed into the package. However, if you look at either of these file types in a hex editor you can see some of the meta info without unzipping the file. I have not studied this in any detail, but from my cursory glance at the file structure, some (if not all) of the info you want could be retrieved in Basic. You should be able to glean more info about this if you take a look at the OpenDocument specs. If it's not very urgent (I have a business to run, so my spare time is limited) and you would like some help with this, contact me off-list and I will try to put some pseudo-code together for you to translate into your dialect of Basic.
