Sorry, but I had no problems with this. I have the OOo 2.2.0 version
from the OOo web site running on Mandriva 2007 Linux. Each paste took
less than 2 seconds to complete.
I copied the material from the web site and did three different
pastes:
1) Paste Special HTML text into a new HTML document,
2) Paste into a new HTML document, and
3) Paste into a new .odt document.

Thanks Dan & Joe for testing. I can repeat it every time & have sent off
the crash reports - I'll try it on 2 other systems with standard OOo 2.2
and see if I can repeat on those. Note: as mentioned in my other msg it
doesn't crash on the system with the Ubunu'ized OOo 2.2 so it could be
something strange with my installs on this system.

Just verified that it crashes exactly the same on an Ubuntu 6.061
(Dapper) installation with standard OOo 2.2 (non Ubuntu) installation.
I'll test a bit more later & see if I an pin down the crash and then
file a bug report.
Hi Gary
Just FWIW I tried on OOo 2.2 (Openoffice.org version) on Gentoo and no
problems pasting into either HTML or Text docuent
