Hi Stephen

I have Openoffice 2.2 will this open works programs with file extension .wps?
or do I have to buy microsoft works i dont want to.

The version of OpenOffice.org used in PCLinuxOS seems to be able to open Microsoft Works files. If you don't have too many Works files (and their content isn't too sensitive) I could convert them for you.

Alternatively, you can downlod the PCLinuxOS CD image from www.pclinuxos.com and do it yourself. You won't even have to install Linux on your computer - the "live CD" will boot into Linux without having to install it as long as you have the CD in your drive when the computer starts up. If you decide to take this option and have more questions, please ask.
