during install a file location dialog box opens up, stopping the install
it needs file:
"openofficeorg20.msi"
and has defaulted to the directory:
C:\New Folder\
it isn't there, on on my computer
so I can't install 2.2 form nothing
every other previous version of OO worked fine during the install
I wish someone at OOo would make this issue more obvious.
I have found that every update install OOo looks for & NEEDS the last
"openofficeorgxx.msi" file to remove? the older version.
I have learned to SAVE this file in a corner so that when this
happens, I just give the file to OOo & it continues on......
I'm not sure if that is the case.
I allway's remove the complete folder with unpacked installation files
(just removed 'OpenOffice.org 2.2 Installation Files' of 2.2.1 RC1 from
my desktop) and never have any problems installing a newer OOo...
