Bonjour,

Merci.
Bonne journée

First, my apologies that I cannot write in French.
There are two possibilities here:
o If the effect of cancelling "Capitalise first
letter of every sentence" in Tools | AutoCorrect
| Options disappears after you restart
OpenOffice, this may be because you have the
Quickstarter running. Close Quickstarter (in the
system tray), change the setting again, and
restart OpenOffice. Does this help?
o There is another automatic correction facility
which may well be responsible for the changes you
describe. You mention "cells", so I assume you
are using Calc. Calc automatically suggests
matching input found in the same column in a
spreadsheet. So if you have "Word" in one cell
and type "word" in another in the same column, it
will be automatically changed to "Word". To turn
off *this* automatic correction, go to Tools |
Cell Contents > and remove the tick from "AutoInput".
I trust that you can translate these menu items satisfactorily.
I hope this helps.
