Hello,

I'm currently having some issues when I place .odt documents on my apache webserver. Internet Explorer clients always try to save the .odt files as .zip files when users try to open them.

I have tried to add the MIME types for .odt, but on some browser there was no noticeable effect at all and on some others it tries to open the document inside the browser window. However I noticed that on my webmail (openwebmail) it always asks to (properly) save as .odt files.

You should tell what you saw in which browser on what platform. In
general setting the correct MIME types should at least guarantee that
the odt files are recognized correctly in Firefox. Whether the files are
opened inside the browser or in an own windows depends on the plugin
setting in "Tools-Options-Internet" inside OOo.

Ciao,
Mathias
