Learning OpenOffice is not rocket science, just focus on the similarities between it and other programs you may have used, such as Word or Write, and go from there. In other words, feel free to sock anybody in the nose who suggests a computer manual with the words "Dummy" "Moron" "Idiot" in the title or otherwise belittles your intelligence.
